SOME BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Dr Thomas is a plastic, reconstructive and hand surgeon who has been practicing in the field for over 10 years. His engagement with all things aesthetic surgery began when he received plastic surgery training in New Zealand. Afterwards, Dr Thomas began a fellowship at the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery but only after he received his FRACS in 2005. His fellowship taught him about an abundance of reconstructive techniques, including those related to paediatric hand and microvascular surgery, however he also gained extensive experience in breast augmentation and body contouring.

CURRENT WHEREABOUTS

Since obtaining a fellowship at MIPS, Dr Thomas has continued to perform cosmetic plastic and reconstructive surgery and reconstructive surgery for various hand abnormalities, including Dupuytren’s contracture, carpal tunnel syndrome, polydactyly, syndactyly and many others. 

In addition to hand surgery, Dr Thomas also performs breast reconstruction, breast lift, breast enlargement and various revision surgeries. Body contouring procedures include tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), liposuction and full body lifts. Anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers are also available as nonsurgical options, and Dr Thomas even consults with men who have cosmetic desires. Currently, Dr Thomas practices privately in both Malvern and Moonee Ponds in tandem with his presence at MIPS.
