Candidates for Facial Rejuvenation

  • Skin that is showing signs of sun or environmental damage
  • Uneven skin texture and tone
  • Hyperpigmentation (brown spots)
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Mild to moderate skin laxity
  • Shallow scarring from acne or chicken pox

Options in Facial Rejuvenation

Dr Thomas offers the following options in facial rejuvenation:

Thermage

Thermage offers the option of skin tightening without surgery. Targeted heating penetrates the surface of the skin, stimulating the body’s own collagen production to restore elasticity. Treatments take 30-90 minutes to complete and do not require anaesthesia.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

Laser skin resurfacing is a method of exfoliation that removes top layers of skin to reveal softer, smoother skin underneath. Fraxel and intense pulsed light (IPL) work deep underneath the skin’s surface to stimulate cell regeneration and collagen production. CO2 laser resurfacing can be used to rejuvenate skin and treat sun damaged skin lesions.

Injectable Treatments

When fine lines and wrinkles begin to make an appearance, injectable treatments can help to smooth them away. Dr Thomas offers both wrinkle relaxers and dermal fillers to address a wide range of ageing options. Injectable treatments can take less than 15 minutes to complete.

A Note on Results

The results of any medical treatment, aesthetic or otherwise, will affect patients differently based on various individual, genetic, environmental, diet, exercise and other factors. For that reason, you should always expect to see some variance between the results featured and the results you can achieve. What works for one person may not work for another, and each patient’s unique needs and expectations must be considered when determining the best course of action.

Therefore, it is essential to have a thorough consultation with a qualified and experienced medical professional who can help to determine the most appropriate treatment plan based on your specific circumstances. It is also important to understand that aesthetic treatment is not a quick fix and requires patience and commitment to achieve the desired results.

Facial rejuvenation can be an effective way to enhance your appearance without surgery. With a variety of options to choose from, we will help you find the right facial rejuvenation procedure for your needs. For more information about these treatments, contact Dr Thomas on 03 9034 7738.
